An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.  We will explore why all commercial stakeholders should invest in good wastewater characterization on a "pounds per day" loading basis prior to designing/implementing a treatment solution.  Subsequently, we will show how this loading analysis along with a consultative approach has led to the development of innovative solutions for commercial wastewater treatment through integrated systems engineering.
